Annabelle is just starting to fit in at her new coed junior high school. She's made great new friends, her teachers are nice, and she's learned a few tricks to taming those oh-so-annoying boys. But now she and her friends must confront a whole new brand of headache- the mean girl clique. Taylor and the Terrible T's are fake and annoying and out to get Annabelle and her friends. As if that weren't enough drama, Annabelle is about to encounter some of tweendom's most memorable "firsts," like buying her first bra! Each moment is perfectly rendered with Margolis's sensitivity and humor in a story that is both endearingly honest and deliciously entertaining.
In Girls Acting Catty, Margolis will embark you on a journey of your tween years, packed with drama, gossip, fights, crushes, and friendships. This was a very fun and adorable novel with a great touch of humor too!

Margolis's writing is fun and quirky. She knows what a tween would like, the dialogues were quirky, the transitions were quick and fast-paced, etc... I loved the whole idea of this book and it really shows you the 'tween' world.

The characters seemed very realistic and they were very fun and adorable. Annabelle is a great friend to have and she'll always be there for you. On the other hand, Taylor was always being the leader and got everything the way she wanted it to be. She's the typical 'biatch' in any sixth grader's life.

Margolis brought me back to my tween days and made me re-live getting my 'firsts!' It was fun to watch Annabelle experience shaving her legs, to getting and wearing her first bra, getting first crushes, etc… I also liked how her mom helped her out and was a 'cool' mom. Cool moms are always lay back!

There was a lot of gossip which I absolutely loved! Every tween loves gossiping about boys, who they hate, and what they think of someone. As I read this novel, I always said to myself "Oh! I used to think that about my classmate too!" It was a great flashback and my memories of my tween life started coming back to me.

This is a great reminiscent of your sixth grade life. A cute tween novel that fills you out on drama and gossips!

Not sure I want to remember my 6th grade year. O_o lol. This does sound like a fun, light read though. I'll have to think about it as this is the first I've heard of it. Appreciate the review! :D

Oh, and is it just me or do the girls on the cover look too old to be 6th graders? XD
