Janie thought she knew what her future held. And she thought she’d made her peace with it. But she can’t handle dragging Cabel down with her.

She knows he will stay with her, despite what she sees in his dreams. He’s amazing. And she’s a train wreck. Janie sees only one way to give him the life he deserves: She has to disappear. And it’s going to kill them both.

Then a stranger enters her life — and everything unravels. The future Janie once faced now has an ominous twist, and her choices are more dire than she’d ever thought possible. She alone must decide between the lesser of two evils. And time is running out....
Gone is a suspenseful read that will really surprise many readers. McMann's Dream Catcher series is an amazing trilogy that will hook readers from the very start of Wake up until the last page of Gone. The choices that Janie and Cabel have to make will still lead to a path of hardship and grief, but they find a way to deal with it, simply, because they love one another.

The bond of love here is very realistically portrayed through their powerful emotions and feelings. Janie and Cabel are both strong characters that deal with very complicated situations. They have dealt with so much sadness already and here, it still continues. The emotion in Gone simply flows out of it until it completely exhausted me with so much emotion and suspense.

Janie is, hands down, one of the best characters that I've read. So is Cabel. Even with the paranormal touch, Gone never loses its edge. It's a fantastic book that many readers will fly through very quickly.

Gone is a great end to the trilogy and I'm sad to say goodbye to Janie and Cabel.

I gave it the same amount of stars you did. It wasn't as good as the others imo (though still good) and the ending felt like it was a bit unresolved.

I just finished Fade and I know that I am going to LIVE to read Gone! I noticed you de-starred the ending...I'm scared! I hate bad endings, (still one of those fairy-tale ending people :D)

I have to pick this one up. I'm waiting for it to come out in paperback, though. Awesome series and good review!

Yay! I'm so happy you liked it. I loved Wake and Fade, but I was a little hesitant to read Gone. I totally agree that Janie and Cabel are two of the best characters. Awesome review :D

I thought this book was terrible. Nothing happened. It was like a book was made with no story in mind. And I felt like Cabel didn't feel like a real character anymore and I thought the writing was bad because so many of the sentences started without a subject - I just didn't like that. I liked Fade a lot, but not this one. I think I gave it a one star. Great review.

Thanks for another wonderful book to consider! I haven't seen this one so it will be something I keep in mind. The 3 stars for ending, though, has me thinking!

Aw, I was totally sad when this series ended!
However, the amazing trilogy ended leaving me feeling satisfied with the characters. I was *hoping* for a happier turnout, but really, this IS a "dark" series... right? :)
I think, though, FADE was my favorite of the three.
How about you?
Any who, thanks for the review!
Love, Hananh

It's amazing series. I finished Wake sometimes ago and now I read Fade. Caleb and Jenny are one of my favorite relationships ever!
