Calla Tor has always known her destiny: After graduating from the Mountain School, she'll be the mate of sexy alpha wolf Ren Laroche and fight with him, side by side, ruling their pack and guarding sacred sites for the Keepers. But when she violates her masters' laws by saving a beautiful human boy out for a hike, Calla begins to question her fate, her existence, and the very essence of the world she has known. By following her heart, she might lose everything--including her own life. Is forbidden love worth the ultimate sacrifice?
Nightshade is a refreshingly complex read filled with familial entanglements, and a love triangle that kept me awake. Nightshade kept me flipping pages, yearning to unravel the mysteries that surrounded Shay and Calla's pack. A seed of doubt was planted in my head, as I struggled to differ between each truth and lie thrown at me!

The plot was really character-driven and very complexly written. The action and romance sizzles with the characters' touch. Cremer did a fantastic job with really portraying and making each and every character significant in their own way. I doubted the premise at first because it was about werewolves, but Cremer's writing completely encompassed my expectations. She was flawless in every aspect; world building, character development, and plot pace.

Calla was an extremely down-to-earth character. Even with her position as an alpha, she still stayed grounded throughout the novel. Ren was the typical bad boy who flirted and bantered to no end. At first, I thought he was a typical shallow jerk, but there were times that I glimpsed a deeper side to him. As for Shay, I found him to be a really mysterious character. The secrets that he had yet to find out about his uncle really intrigued me. Both Ren and Shay are equally likable so I'm not choosing sides, but you, Shay or Ren?

Cremer absorbs you into a world full of werewolves, action, and love. Nightshade is a fantastic debut and great addition to the young adult market.

Wolfsbane, I'm dying, please release sooner.

Wow! 5 stars across the board. lol. I don't think I've heard a single negative thing about this book and I can't wait to read it for myself. BTW, a little birdy, aka twitter, tells me ARCs of Wolfsbane have already been printed up. ;) This really does sound like it's gonna be an excellent read and thanks for the review, girl! :D

I absolutely loved Nightshade!
Also, it was so hard to choose between Shay and Ren; they're both so original and unique. I have to say I like Ren better though. I think him and Calla have better chemistry.
Nice review! :)
