Eliza is in a full-blown panic. Her notebook has been stolen—the one that lists everything she wants but is afraid to go after. And the absolute worst person in the world has it: her ex-boyfriend, Cooper.

Like it’s not enough Cooper was lying to Eliza for their entire relationship, now he and his friends are blackmailing her. They’re giving her just one night to complete the most humiliating tasks on her list or they’ll post her secrets online—including the ones that aren’t just about her.

Eliza’s sure of only one thing: she isn’t going down without a fight. Cooper may have what’s left of her dignity, but she’s not the only one with something to hide…
Whimsical and scintillating, One Night That Changes Everything will charm readers with it's amusing plot line and it's fun writing. Barnholdt stirs a light-hearted novel, a fun roller coaster ride loaded with fears, secrets, accomplishments, and most importantly, a true teenage girl's feelings.

Barnholdt creates a high-tensed atmosphere in which the reader discovers friend and family secrets through a notebook. Somewhat witty, the premise is definitely one-of-a-kind. The concept on the notebook on getting lost along with the girl's 'life' being changed in one night is ultimately fresh and something new.

Eliza was very relatable. Barnholdt was able to make Eliza 'come to life', she felt real. She's a normal girl, just like any other teenager, with friends, secrets, and gossips, though, she all keeps it a notebook. The friends of Eliza got aggravating at times when they had ditched her, nonetheless to say, they weren't 'true' friends. Jerks and Idiots are what you would call Cooper's friends. They'd force her to do some tasks by herself, but, Cooper got light-hearted and did end up helping a little.

Not to spoil anything for you guys, but, the tasks that Eliza had to do weren't that bad. Yes, they were embarrassing but they weren't too embarrassing. It was one that just needed a little courage, but that's all. I wish Barnholdt made some of the tasks a bit harder to do so that there's a bit of more humor thrown in! My favorite was the karaoke!

Barnholdt entwines secrets, gossips, and accomplishments all together, making One Night That Changes Everything fast-paced, sweet, with light-humor. A perfect summer read!
