Clarity "Clare" Fern sees things. Things no one else can see. Things like stolen kisses and long-buried secrets. All she has to do is touch a certain object, and the visions come to her. It's a gift.

And a curse.

When a teenage girl is found murdered, Clare's ex-boyfriend wants her to help solve the case--but Clare is still furious at the cheating jerk. Then Clare's brother--who has supernatural gifts of his own--becomes the prime suspect, and Clare can no longer look away. Teaming up with Gabriel, the smoldering son of the new detective, Clare must venture into the depths of fear, revenge, and lust in order to track the killer. But will her sight fail her just when she needs it most?
Riveting and fast-paced, Clarity is a page-turner that will keep you at the edge of your seat with it’s kick-ass romance, mystery, and paranormal. Harrington has ultimately captured the blend of both physics and homicide. There’s also the love triangle and the suspense with the mystery that absorbs readers until the very last page.

Harrington’s writing seems so effortless and it flowed so seamlessly. Even though the plot is fast-paced, it’s always suspenseful. Its expertly woven, getting readers to get sucked by the mystery and coveting for it to be revealed.

Being called a ‘freak,’ Clare is much more than that. Snarky, fierce, and strong, Clare’s family, including herself, are physics and have special abilities. She has the gift of clairvoyance, where, if she touches an object, she can see it’s past. But, she is taunted about her powers, especially since it’s how they make money. Although, she takes control and uses her confidence because she is brave. There’s also her vulnerable side, which was great to see in her as well.

It’s extremely hard to choose between Justin and Gabriel, especially with the love triangle with Clare. Both of them truly cared about Clare and wouldn’t let anything happen to her. Justin, unlike the rest of Clare’s other friends, liked Clare because she was different. Gabriel, on the other hand, tries to hide his feelings for her.

Clarity is a fresh, fierce— stunning debut. With a shocking mystery, sweet romance, intriguing characters, and hot boys, you don’t want to miss this!

I loved this book and agree with you about Kim's writing style. It's so suspenseful and fast-paced, but never rushed. Clare is easily one of my favorite characters to read.
