Kate Lowry didn’t think dead best friends could send e-mails. But when she gets an e-mail from Grace, who died mysteriously a year before, she’s not so sure. When the emails continue, Kate is forced to confront her school’s resident druggie, a sketchy administrator, and even her own demons.

As Kate moves closer and closer to the truth, she teams up with a couple of knights-in-(not so)shining armor–the dangerously attractive, bad boy, Liam and her love-struck neighbor, Seth. The three uncover an ancient secret lurking in the halls of their elite private school with the power to destroy them all.

But the truth doesn’t always set you free. Sometimes it’s only the beginning.
Amusing and hilarious, The Liar Society charms readers with it’s sassy heroine, intriguing mystery, and killer ending. Kate Lowry’s adventure warms your heart but yet is filled with scenes that crack you up. The delightful tale is page turning with suspense and is a guessing game until the very end.

The mystery weaved in the story has a quick, but yet, good pace. Only bits at a time of the mystery are slowly revealed. At times, the Roecker’s makes you think you’ve gotten something solved and all figured out, but, no, that doesn’t happen here! Everything is just everywhere (and not in a bad way!). You don’t know what’s going to happen and what is so desired here is that both authors made it seem predictable, but really, is not.

Kate’s charming façade is the energy to this entertaining and fun tale. In the inside, she’s still a bit hurt of her best friend, but then to hide this, comes the personality she shows in the outside. Here, she is witty, funny, sarcastic, and very quirky. Her spirit is always soaring high and not to state the obvious, has a great sense of humor.

Liam and Seth were both very fun and cute secondary characters! Even though they were the total opposites and had the most different personalities, their both very likeable. Seth is your cool (well, for me, he totally is!) nerd and he’s so adorable when it came to staying at Kate’s side the whole time, even though he’d be rejected all the time. On the other hand, there’s Seth, the hot, bad boy with a great personality.

I’m not the biggest fan of young adult mysteries, but, this one is definitely an exception. If you’re up for hilarious and amusing characters and a thrilling tale, The Liar Society is waiting for you!
