Title: An Abundance Of Katherines
Author: John Green
Publisher: Speak (October 16, 2008)
Pages: 227 pages
Reading Level: Young Adult

When it comes to relationships, Colin Singleton's type happens to be girls named Katherine. And when it comes to girls named Katherine, Colin is always getting dumped. Nineteen times, to be exact. He's also a washed up child prodigy with ten thousand dollars in his pocket, a passion for anagrams, and an overweight, Judge Judy-obsessed best friend. Colin's on a mission to prove The Theorem of Underlying Katherine Predictability, which will predict the future of all relationships, transform him from a fading prodigy into a true genius, and finally win him the girl.

An Abundance Of Katherines is seriously my type of book! I love math, so I was fascinated by the explanations and graphs that Collin did. It really emphasized his personality and how he was kind of a geek (so am I! haha). The characters in Abundance Of Katherines are unique and individual. Hassan, Collin’s best friend, was one character that I had loads of fun with! I enjoyed every single character in Gunshot!

The concept of dating a lot of people with the same name, was highly inventive. It was really cool how the concept fit perfectly with the plot. Although it wasn’t extremely realistic, I still found it to be an interesting idea.

Overall, the premise of this book was good. I wasn’t disappointed. As my first John Green book, Abundance Of Katherines has definitely gotten a recommendation from me. I will definitely be looking out for more books from this amazing author!

This one sounds hilariosus! The poor guy sounds as if he has a complex. I'm not a numbers girl but I can see that this would make the book really unusual. Cool review.

Ok, but seriously. Haven't we all found a trend in the men we date? Even if they're names aren't quite the same, we usually date the same frogs? At one point I was so sick of Ryans because they were always from CA and stuck up. Then I married one. :) (He's not stuckup.)
