The Vinyl Princess was a fast-paced, quirky read. Even though I was a bit disappointed with the whole novel, I'm still satisfied. Well, I was expecting this novel to blow me away, have the "wow" factor, but it never did.The start was where I was so engrossed. I wanted to know more about Allie, she was such an interesting character. But in the middle, the plot line almost fell flat. There was nothing so exciting in the book for a while. I guess because this novel was a bit predictable, some parts in this story were really obvious. I though that it was just words, words, and words. It was fluctuating.
Prinz fully developed the characters in this novel. I was very impressed. Allie and Kit were very unique characters, especially Allie. She had such a strong voice in this novel. All she cared about was her love of music, nothing else; clothes, looks. She also blogged! How awesome is that? I really liked how she was both close to her mom and dad, just like me. The fact that she blogged a lot and how she was really close with her parents, was really easy for me to relate to her!
Characters was something strong in this novel. Writing was just good, not too great, not bad. The plot line was fluctuating. Overall, the premise and potential was there although in the end it did not succeed progressing from it's early potential.

Hmm. Well, even though the plot wasn't all that, it's good to know that the characters were nicely developed. Being able to relate to the characters is key :)
