When seventeen-year-old Ellie starts seeing reapers - monstrous creatures who devour humans and send their souls to Hell - she finds herself on the front lines of a supernatural war between archangels and the Fallen and faced with the possible destruction of her soul.

A mysterious boy named Will reveals she is the reincarnation of an ancient warrior, the only one capable of wielding swords of angelfire to fight the reapers, and he is an immortal sworn to protect her in battle. Now that Ellie's powers have been awakened, a powerful reaper called Bastian has come forward to challenge her. He has employed a fierce assassin to eliminate her - an assassin who has already killed her once.

While balancing her dwindling social life and reaper-hunting duties, she and Will discover Bastian is searching for a dormant creature believed to be a true soul reaper. Bastian plans to use this weapon to ignite the End of Days and to destroy Ellie's soul, ending her rebirth cycle forever. Now, she must face an army of Bastian's most frightening reapers, prevent the soul reaper from consuming her soul, and uncover the secrets of her past lives - including truths that may be too frightening to remember.
Original and creative, Moulton's debut novel takes the paranormal genre into a new level and creates a swoon-worthy, action-filled, and drama-ensued novel. I have to say, the action in this novel was just amazing. The drama was too. I found it really cool how the drama was intensified by the action. Moulton had a great mix of action, romance, and drama all together.

Moulton's writing is simply fantastic. She writes with intense action and her writing is so powerful. The plot is so original and one of a kind. Everything was just so fresh. It's action-packed and at the same time, varied. Her prose is smooth and transitioned and the ideas in this novel were very new, original, and fresh.

Moulton created fantastic characters. There was Ellie, your typical teen, very humble and very likable. She was confused and torn at parts of the novel but, she was always able to stay grounded even though she found out about her powers. I found her to be very relatable when it came to her friends and having a good relationship with her mom. Then, comes Will. Oh. My. Gosh. Will is so swoon-worthy, I want him. Though, at first, he's creepy… and I was a bit intimidated by him. But as you dig in the story, he's a brooding and an honorable secondary character. He's very genuine, hardened, and pretty sarcastic. If I were to describe will in one word, it would be definitely bad-ass…

The relationship between Ellie and Will was just absolutely stunning. They were always aware, but what I really liked was that even though they both 'contributed' to the relationship, Ellie was the one who always sparked it even more.

Even though this novel is 450+ pages, believe it or not, but I consumed and devoured this in just one sitting. It's that good. After the first fifty pages or so, you'll get addicted. You'll get obsessed. You won't stop. Until the very end. It's like a drug…

This novel is beyond extraordinary. Moulton is a debut author that kicks ass with the heroine that is different and dramatic. Angelfire is a mix of action, romance, and adventure, compounding an elaborate novel that will pull readers off their feet.

Angelfire is burning hot, it's on fire.
