End of the Year Blog Post

Friday, December 31, 2010 |

So... here comes the end... the end of the year blog post... The very last blog post of 2010... I didn't want to make it a normal day and post something normal like a book review, contest, a meme, author interview, etc... Instead, I'm posting this... the end of the year blog post. You might be asking yourself what I'm going to post on here because the title seems really broad.. and... unspecific... but, if you look to the left and see the picture with the 'thank you' sign, then you know what I'm talking about. This post is for my thank you's... I have countless thank you's to give... Let me start at it already, before this post will turn into a novel (just kidding). I wrote a small letter for you all... for publishers and publicists, author, followers, commenters, readers, tweeps, and bloggers.

To publishers and publicists, THANK YOU for your forever loving support on The Bookologist. This blog is all about books... you guys support me with so much books you send me for review, sponsor giveaways, send extra copies for contests, etc... THANK YOU. To each and everyone of you that I've been in touch with, you've been so kind, nice, and yet do still reply to my oh so annoying emails when I have questions or confusions about a book tour, etc... Just to shout out a few of the amazing publicists: Karen, Kay, Emily, Jennifer, Brooke, Kate, Deb, Julia, Ksenia, Heather, Melissa, Paul, Tara, Ariana, Marisa, Ellen, Vanessa, Bernadette, Anna, Sloane, Elyse, Sara, Becky, Samantha, Charisse, Carrie, Carol, and Hallie... okay, that may be not 'a few' but that's quite a lot of the publicists that have helped me throughout this year of 2010... I may have forgotten a few of you, and I'm really sorry, but it doesn't mean I'm not thankful I've come across meeting you through email, I am, THANK YOU so so much for everything!

To authors, THANK YOU for finding time to answer my questions for interviews on my blog. I know you all are extremely busy with dead lines, fans, and other bloggers asking for interview, making it clear that you had to take a hiatus from your hiatus to answer my interview questions... THANK YOU SO MUCH! I really appreciate the fact that you guys are willing to be featured on my blog, whether it's a guest post or an interview. Also, if you've ever given me SWAG or books to giveaway, thank you so so much. I wish I could list the authors I've been in touch with but, that's a crazy list... very crazy. A big part of my blog is about author interviews, and without you awesome and talented writers, that wouldn't exist. And talking about that not existing, the whole blogging world wouldn't exist without you guys! Everyone LOVES authors and you guys write the books that we love, so again, thank you so much for everything you've done to help the blogging world, and in detail, The Bookologist!

To bloggers, THANK YOU for your help, advice, comments, feedback, and most importantly support. I don't think I'll be able to name everyone but the ones who have been closest to me this year would be Briana from The Book Pixie, Erika from Erika Breathes Books, and Louisse from The Soul Sisters. I'm closest to 3 of them, but that doesn't mean I'm not close to anyone else. I'm close to so many of you that it'd take me hours to list everyone that helped me and talked to me about blogging. But wait... also, one at the top of my head is my sister, Reggie from The Undercover Book Lover. You've helped me a lot as well and talking to me daily about how to improve my blog. To each and every one of you who has given me advice, constructive criticism, or at least has talked to me about life in general, your really something special to me... all of you guys. Also, there are a lot of blogs that inspire me and give me lots of advice and ideas on this and that, thank you to you as well. Without each of you, there will be no 'blogging' world. Thank you so so much for your countless support and never ending list of advice to make myself and my blog improve for the future! Thank you so much!

To tweepies, my twitter buddies for life, THANK YOU for hearing me bicker and complain about everything. As I go back to my twitter profile and @me's, the main ones would be: myself being so stressed out, lazy to write reviews, starving because of my diet, messy inbox, not being organized, etc... and if not, myself watching a movie, what books I read, posting pictures on twitpic.com, MANY stuff I talk about on twitter, MANY stuff that you all have to suffer and read everyday if you follow me. :) Lol. But, twitter, for me, is a place where I can just let out all my thoughts, crap, complaints, comments, etc... or when I'm really bored (which is often, as you can see, if your a follower). I talk to many of you, but just to name a few: Louisse, Kristen, Briana, Courtney, Kari, Sarah, Melina, Sara, and Brent. I don't just talk to you 9 (I looked at my most recent @'s and it was you guys! :), many, many more, but yet again, it would take me years to list. If you've talked to me about random crap even, or about pizza, or about what your eating to blog advice and thoughts on something, THANK YOU. Whatever you said has always put a smile on my face. Thank you so much for being there on twitter, my awesomely amazing tweepies!

To followers/commenters/readers, THANK YOU for your sweet and amazing comments, reading my blog whenever I post, and following my blog. I am so thankful for having each reader, follower, commenter that has come to The Bookologist. I am extremely grateful for every comment you post because I know it takes a bit of effort to comment, or even just clicking that follow button on my right-hand sidebar... I couldn't ask for more. Each of you has pushed me to become a better blogger and to improve my blog. Every time I think of it, I'm at 1500 followers, which I never even could have imagined at the start of blogging, back in August 2009. Now that I've come so far, I don't want to let you guys down, making me end up even harder than before. I work hard to make and write my reviews, schedule my posts, just so that I don't loose you all amazing and loyal followers, commenters, and readers. Thank you so so much for being there!

That's all my THANK YOU'S, and I know I didn't make any sense in a lot of sentences (or even were grammatically correct) but I just really don't know another way of expressing my gratitude and thankfulness to everyone. 2010 has been an amazing journey of meeting new people; authors, bloggers, tweepies, readers, followers, commenters, and publicists. Thank you so much to each of you that has accompanied and has supported me throughout this fantastic journey of 2010! I look forward to meeting new people in the upcoming, 2011, but for now, as what I've said a million times in this post,

THANK YOU SO MUCH!
