Entice by Carrie Jones Giveaway

Friday, December 24, 2010 | | 7 comments

Want to read Entice? Here's your chance! The Need series is definitely a great read and I definitely recommend it to you all! I reviewed all 3 titles already; Need, Captivate & Entice. Entice, the most recent book in the series, just recently released and now here's your chance to win a copy along with an awesome bookmark. Thanks to Bloomsbury for providing the prize!

And, if you want to, you can become a fan of the Need series on Facebook, take a poll, or even, check out the Bloomsbury fan page!
Zara and Nick are soul mates, meant to be together forever. But that's not quite how things have worked out.

For starters, well, Nick is dead. Supposedly, he's been taken to a mythic place for warriors known as Valhalla, so Zara and her friends might be able to get him back. But it's taking time, and meanwhile a group of evil pixies is devastating Bedford, with more teens going missing every day. An all-out war seems imminent, and the good guys need all the warriors they can find. But how to get to Valhalla?

And even if Zara and her friends discover the way, there's that other small problem: Zara's been pixie kissed. When she finds Nick, will he even want to go with her? Especially since she hasn't just turned. She's Astley's queen.

A beautifully written novel surrounding a mesmerizing world full of werewolves, pixies, and weres and a stirring plethora of characters, Entice has drawn me all throughout. Drama, pixies, mythology, Valhalla, it’s all very crazy!

Jones has definitely brought up Entice to a much more intricate level for the characters... It was a roller coaster ride for all of them, especially for Zara. Decisions, sacrifices, roadblocks, and consequences were all happening throughout the novel. Jones keeps you at the edge of your seat because you don’t know what’s next. Issues and conflicts are just thrown in and it’s exciting to see what decisions and actions the characters would choose.

I miss the old Zara. In Entice, she isn’t as eccentric as she was in Need & Captivate. Not only that but, she made very peculiar decisions… and yet, she ended up struggling and facing it. Though, Astley, enigmatic and handsome, definitely dominates in this novel. He beats Nick’s personality since Nick was a bit too judgmental at times. Both Zara and Astley strengthen their relationship and friendship with each other. He’s valiant and caring, especially with Zara. He always accepted who she was, her actions and did not stop her to do anything. Not like Nick, whom got a bit overbearing.

The love triangle was a fun add-on. It made more interest and intensified the novel. It’s interesting to see how in Need, Zara was all for Nick, and now, she’s a bit apprehensive to who she’s really for. It seems to be that Nick isn’t the best choice for Zara, probably Astley.

Love triangle, fun characters, crazy plot, and pixie fun… an addicting series!

The Twin's Daughter by Lauren Baratz-Logsted
Lucy Sexton is stunned when a disheveled woman appears at the door one day... a woman who bears an uncanny resemblance to Lucy's own beautiful mother. It turns out the two women are identical twins, separated at birth, and raised in dramatically different circumstances. Lucy's mother quickly resolves to give her less fortunate sister the kind of life she has never known. And the transformation in Aunt Helen is indeed remarkable. But when Helen begins to imitate her sister in every way, even Lucy isn't sure at times which twin is which. Can Helen really be trusted, or does her sweet face mask a chilling agenda?

Filled with shocking twists and turns, The Twin's Daughter is an engrossing gothic novel of betrayal, jealousy, and treacherous secrets that will keep you guessing to the very end.
