2011 Young Adult Contemporary Challenge

Who loves contemporary? I know I do! Well, Reggie over The Undercover Book Lover is hosting a 2011 young adult contemporary challenge! If you'd like to sign up and join, you may do so! The contemporary genre has taken a back seat so the goal for this challenge is to at least read thirteen young adult contemporary novels by the end of 2011. I love contemporary books so I'm definitely game for this challenge. I cannot wait to see what will bring me this 2011. Hopefully, I'll reach the aim and will be able to read thirteen contemporary novels. Right now, it seems like a piece of cake but I'm not too sure if it is! It maybe a bit tough for me! Who knows! Enough of me talking about this awesomeness, but, go ahead and sign up! You know you want to! Give contemporary a chance! The contemporary genre is full of amazing looking books this year!

--And, did I mention? There are giveaways every 2-3 months! What else are you waiting for?

Here's my list:
  1. Other Words for Love by Lorraine Zago Rosenthal

Wish me luck and hope you join!

2011 Debut Author Challenge

Monday, December 6, 2010 | | 2 comments

Yes, I'm participating again in the debut author challenge! 2011 is near by so it's better if I join earlier! Earlier is always better! Anyhoo, if you never heard about the challenge before or would like to know what it is, you can go and check out it's awesomeness! If you'd like to join, then join!

The aim is to try and read 12 debuts coming out in 2011, but I'll definitely try to read more than that! Here's my list (of the debut books I read in 2011):

  1. Choker by Elizabeth Woods
  2. The Trouble With Half a Moon by Danette Vigilante
  3. Unearthly by Cynthia Hand
  4. XVI by Julia Karr
  5. Other Words for Love by Lorraine Zago Rosenthal

I don't want to list any debuts yet because it really confuses me. Instead, I'll just list the book every time I'm done reading it (and hopefully will put a link if I do post a review on my blog) I'll be updating it from time to time so be sure to check back! Wish me luck!
